We in Verdurez are deprived of "comedy" writing for

quite some time. Here is one :

The man was taking his pet dog for a walk.

Suddenly his dog broke open the chain and

ran far away.  The man was perplexed.

So far this has not happened. He started chasing

his dog. But after some time could not.

He waited for his dog to return by itself.

His dog came after an hour with another "mate".

How on earth his dog could find a mate and that

too from a far off place.

The two played.  Then it struck him that the the mate

was his neighbour's.  The comedy here is his dog has

been running after his Mate for quite some time and

today it had succeeded.  But then the Mate's owner was

equally perplexed that his dog was missing. After some time

both the dog, its Mate and the Mate's owner could meet

each other. They had a pretty laugh.

These are issues beyond our control. Not only humans

chase their Mates but also animals. In their own way....

Well done, Dear Babu

I composed the following poem on the subject of 'Dog' sometime ago. I am not sure if I posted this in the past. Please excuse me if I have done so.

Street Dog's Point of View
( With apologies to dog owners)

Once Jane and John took vacation in Indian continent
Along came Ginger, the Pet Dog as a of family agent
The three settled down in rented houses that was decent
Ginger explored the venue not knowing what to confront

Next day, Ginger ventured into street house adjacent
On seeing an Indian dog, wondered and remained silent
The street dog waged tail reciprocating to be pleasant
And learnt Ginger is just visitor from a country distant

The curious Indian dog asked visitor dog's life forefront
Ginger said "Oh! My life is luxurious in our establishment,
I am fed, shampoo bathed, and groomed very frequent,
Have a soft bed and even the poop is cleaned prudent"

Ginger continued: "I have my own Pet Store, toys and trinket
Special Umbrella and winter coat, Vet, ID chip and Dog Biscuit
I am fed special Dog Chow, soup multi-vitamins and biscuit
Dog Walker takes me to park when my owner travels frequent"

Being curious Ginger asked of Indian dog's life and comfort
"Oh! Here the life is difficult, I sleep on many streets abundant
I feed on discarded food scavenging, drink from tap at toilet
Life is hard, I live in pack, bark my way" said Indian Clint

And continued "I take mud bath and get cleansed in rain strait
Have many girl mates in the pack free in time for couplet
Once in a while I am chased by Indian dog catchers bait
We have warning howl to avoid being caught in the net"

Ginger heard and paused few minutes remained silent
Nodded head, shook the body, and sighed saddest
Then with tearful eyes gathered courage to interpret
"Oh! Your life is better than mine, I am desperate"

The Indian dog asked "What are you saying, why regret?"
Ginger replied "Despite all the luxury and many comfort
Always leashed, not allowed to bark, no freedom to celebrate"
In my point of view, I am lonely, no mate consummate".

My dear All rounder & bur,
Two intimate friends write about mate that is funny for street dog & irony for pet dog!!!..
It's equally applicable to people living by the sides of streets & in high rise buildings.
Dog lives for 15 Yrs but they mate & enjoy better than human who hate, irritate & worry their fate!!!..

I guess owners make huge money by renting their bulldog for mating. However, most female pet dogs are sterilized whatever the correct word is. These dogs have no desire for mating. Our Cleopatra and before her Shaouky are point is case.

Hats off to you instsant poetry. Yes some dogs are very lucky as are rather pampered mre than own children. Some are carried in purse. In some cities it is mandatory to collect the poop.

And there are cases of dogs being abandoned once they are terminally ill or very old.
